This is great!! I had the same issue last night and I couldn’t hear what they were saying on the recording but heard a beep and left a message anyway! lol not sure if it actually recorded it! But i called all of my reps last night!
I called Ted Cruz’s office over and over all day. The call never connected. (I did send an email as my backup.) I’ll call more tomorrow. I got through to my Texas representative in the House—actually spoke to a staffer. Then after multiple tries I got through to Senator Corny’s office but had to leave voicemail.
One of my senator's voice mail was full. The other I haven't been able to get through all week. But I've been able to speak to a person in the Congressperson's office - he's a republican though - so I've had a lot of fun with that one! 5calls.org is a GREAT tool! LFG we will be loud and persistent. They will be so sick and tired of us!
Thanks Jess for sharing. It is very encouraging to hear.
Yesterday, I did get through to Senator Padilla local office but their mailbox was full. That never happens, if I don't get a live person their vm is always available.
The voicemails for 2 out of the 3 (Republican) representatives were full. I will call back tomorrow and hopefully speak to live people. My challenge is I’m deeply concerned about so many issues, it’s hard to limit myself to a few in the brief time allowed for a recording
Thank you for everything you are doing. I’m not sure who organized the 50501 protest but if we could do it at 5pm next time more teachers could attend. I will be there in spirit today. Stay safe everyone.
Made my calls late tonight because of work and my Democrat senator had voicemail available but my republican senator had a full voicemail box!!-Left an email for him instead)
This is great news. We’re away for two weeks, but I emailed my senators this morning from Hawaii. My friend here says Tulsi Gabbard is ambitious and opportunistic.
