Love you, congrats!! Out in the middle of nowhere Wy and Laramie. We had over 700-800 people protesting and for a deep red state this was quite an eye-opener. We are finding out who like-minded people are, and we are gathering together to form coalitions for future activities to support our democracy and our constitution!!!!!!
Amaaazing! In my little town of Pittsfield, MA, we had about 500–and that’s in cold, pouring rain! … Even Rachel Maddow came by! There were well/attended rallies in every corner of Berkshire County! Sooo encouraging!
Wow, the protest at the Minnesota state capitol was unfreakinbelievable! So inspiring to see a huge crowd showing the strength of We the People. But the most amazing moment was when senator Amy Klobuchar grabbed the mic and gave the most inspirational, heartfelt speech. What was even more amazing is that she had been in Washington DC on the senate floor until 3:30 a.m. then hopped on a plane, flew home and came to the capital. She had her Corey Booker moment for Minnesota. Now I have to apologize to her for all the many emails and phone calls I made begging her to show up and do more, stop playing the bipartisan game that you will never win and stop being Minnesota nice. The bottom line is the phone calls worked and Amy stood up!
Sounds great. I saw your protest group on YT yesterday. I wanted to "like" any media that took the time to come out, show the rest of the world, Americans ARE fighting back. I watched a multitude of "Hands Off!" protest videos after coming home from mine.
I have 2 Dem female senators that like to play Reichwing-light. I've asked them to be loyal to Dem party, to come out & give townhalls as my (R) bootlicking House rep hides. Both senators' reps were cold, rude & simply said, "No."
OMG! I went to Sebastopol AND Santa Rosa! 3,000 were expected in Santa Rosa, and there were at least 5,000. It was packed and beautiful! The signs were creative. I laughed, I cried, I met new friends. It. Is. Only. The. Beginning. Much more work to be done, but WOW, to see all these true patriots out in the streets was historic for me. Thank you for all your work encouraging us to make calls (heart races when I do so, but we need to push and get live with our elected officials). Peace, love and strength to all here!
Had a great protest and excellent rally in Boston yesterday! Felt joyful to be among so, so many kind, committed people of all ages and ethnicities with fabulous protest signs!
In tiny town of Farmington, ME, we had just shy of 600. We also had singing with Noel Paul Stooky approved original new songs. This movement needs more songs!
Jess, I think the Pasadena March was HUGE! Is there anyway to know the numbers? The side-walk on the South side was at times 10 or more people deep and went on for blocks, not counting all the stragglers in the background. It started at 11:00AM and was deafening (for me) by noon. The support from the vehicles honking on the street was terrific. A garbage truck and a bus even honked their horns!!! Let me know if you've got numbers. Thanks.
Haha! I just realized that this morning and contacted Mobilize.us at the name and email address included in the invite. Waiting. Will post if I hear back. Thank you!!!
In Portland Maine we had a huge raucous fun crowd. We have been protesting every Saturday since late January but the numbers were amazing yesterday- 4-5000. The event was 11-1 but many people stayed til after 4. All peaceful
Jessica, We had 600+ people out for Hands Off yesterday -- and our little town is only 3,000 strong..!! We're the second largest county in CA (Siskiyou), and it is bright red!! Lots of noise, lots of support..!!
We attended the rally in Salt Lake City. Definitely a very large showing with estimates ranging from 6k to 15k, a big range I know. So, let's split it down the middle at ~10k. It was neat to see endless streams of people walking to the UT capital building from multiple directions.
A march wasn't planned as part of the rally but as it wrapped up, a march ensued down the main street leading to/fro the capital and it was a pretty wild scene with cars stuck in the traffic, the majority of them beeping their horns and holding out their fists and thumbs up in solidarity. There were five other marches in UT in smaller, much more conservative areas of the state. LFG!
I was also at the SLC rally. I’d say 10k was about right and in deep red Utah too! Inspiring speakers, loved the singing and I got to spend the afternoon with such a passionate and fun bunch of women (none of whom I’d met before)
Eureka, CA (Humboldt County) drew a tremendous crowd. Our croud size has grown from 200 in Jan to 300 in Feb to 500 in March and now thousands in April. Seems like maybe people are feeling encouraged and want to reach out for change.
Was in Napa, CA! Awesome turnout of hundreds on every side of the Courthouse grounds and then a march over the bridge and around the town perimeter. Then went to Yountville where the population is 3,000+ and saw the main square full of folks with signs. Even there. Everywhere. All at once! Filled me with hope.❤️
That looks awesome! Thank you for going and thank you for the videos you make to keep us informed. We attended our first protest in Harrisburg PA. We had a great turnout for our area. PA has a lot of work that needs to be done. We live in a red district, so substack gives us hope to be around like minded people. Keep up the good fight!
I was in Philly! I was so impressed by the amount of people, the creative signs with their blunt messages, and how organized and peaceful it was. From what I understand, 5 million people protested yesterday! That's a great number, but I hope we can at least double it during the next one. I'm ready! LFG! 💙💪🏻💙

Heartwarming to hear you are finding each other and plan on working together in the future.
Congrats Laramie!!!👏👏

Cindy, no apology needed. You are entitled to hear from your elected and actually they all need to apologize to us for taking so long to show up!
Sounds great. I saw your protest group on YT yesterday. I wanted to "like" any media that took the time to come out, show the rest of the world, Americans ARE fighting back. I watched a multitude of "Hands Off!" protest videos after coming home from mine.

Very frustrating.
Good to see yours went very well.

The Torrence rally gad an estimate of 10,000! It was fabulous!!
Damn!? I lived in LA for 45 years. My grandparents lived near LAX. I didn't know they had "it" (the fight) in them. Great to know.

You can contact the host if you received an email from the organization and ask them.

As always, I love your attitude.
